Karim Benzema, the former captain of Real Madrid and winner of the Ballon d'Or in 2022, has signed a contract for one and a half years with the Al-Hilal club in Saudi Arabia. The announcement was made by the current leader of the Saudi championship. Benzema played for Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal's rival, since 2023, where he scored 16 goals in 21 matches across all competitions. At the age of 38, he had an impressive career at Real Madrid, winning multiple trophies, including four league titles in La Liga and five Champions Leagues. He was also the champion of Saudi Arabia with Al-Ittihad in the previous season, where he also won the King's Cup.
