Romanian athlete Julia Sauter had an impressive debut at the Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, competing in the women's individual event in figure skating. In the short program, Sauter achieved a personal best of 63.13 points, and in the free program, she executed a flawless routine, accumulating 127.8 points. With a total of 190.3 points, she ranked 2nd in the intermediate standings, surpassing her previous best cumulative score by 16 points. Her performance was praised, and Sauter demonstrated promising potential in international competitions.
