No gymnast from Romania's team managed to qualify for any individual final at the World Championships in Rotterdam. This is a first for Romanian women's gymnastics. The team final was also missed.
Romania's best individual all-around result was achieved by Alexia Blănaru, who finished 52nd with 50.132 points. Sabrina Maneca-Voinea, who had achieved important results at the 2025 edition, did not make any final this time. In the team competition, Romania accumulated 151.996 points and finished in 19th place.
The result also has Olympic implications: the top three teams in the final in Rotterdam will qualify directly for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, a chance Romania has thus missed. Romania will also have no representatives in the men's finals. Nicholas Țarcă finished 80th in the individual all-around.
