Inter Milan, coached by Cristian Chivu, defeated Parma 3-0 on Saturday evening at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in a match from the sixth round of the Italian league. The victory keeps the Nerazzurri at the top of Serie A with 16 points.
Inter settled the match in the first half, dominating the team previously coached by Cristian Chivu without difficulty. Petar Sucic opened the scoring in the 13th minute, after which Hakan Calhanoglu doubled the lead five minutes later. The Turkish midfielder converted a penalty awarded following a VAR review after a foul committed on Pio Esposito.
The hosts continued to attack, and Marcus Thuram made it 3-0 in the 31st minute. After the break, the Milan side slowed the pace and managed their advantage until the final whistle, with Parma unable to get back into the game.
Following this result, Inter have 16 points and sit top of the table, at least until the match between AS Roma and Como. Parma remain on four points and are 17th in the standings.
