The team's co-owner, Jorge Mas, emphasized that Suarez deserves to decide how he will end his career, wanting him to be properly celebrated. Now, Suarez and Lionel Messi are the only remaining members of the 'Core Four' of former FC Barcelona stars, following the retirement of Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. Inter Miami will open the new stadium, Miami Freedom Park, on April 4, against Austin FC, and the 2026 season will start with five away matches.
