After a premature exit from the Miami tournament, Polish player Iga Swiatek decided to make a significant change in her team, announcing Francisco Roig as her new coach. In a story posted on Instagram, Swiatek wrote: "Welcome to the team, Francisco! Very excited for this new chapter." Roig, with 17 years of experience on the circuit, has previously worked with Rafael Nadal, as well as Matteo Berrettini and Emma Raducanu, having extensive expertise in training top players.

This change comes at a crucial moment, with the clay season on the horizon, where Swiatek has had remarkable results in the past. Former world number one, Iga Swiatek holds six Grand Slam titles, including four at Roland Garros, and is ready to continue her rise in professional tennis.
