Tennis player Sorana Cîrstea has moved her residence to the United Arab Emirates.

Sorana Cîrstea, at the age of 36, announced that she will not participate in the tournament in Monterrey, Mexico due to an abdominal issue, a week before the US Open.

The player, who is in the final season of her career, confirmed that she resides in Dubai, where she has obtained residency, but she also maintains a connection with Bucharest. Originally from Târgoviște, Cîrstea explained that she organizes her life in such a way that she spends about half a year in Romania and the rest abroad, depending on the competition calendar.

Usually, she spends the winter in Dubai, where the training conditions are more favorable, and spring and autumn in Bucharest, which she considers home.

Sorana emphasized that, although Dubai offers excellent training conditions, in her heart she remains Romanian. This choice allows her to maintain a consistent training routine and to travel easily to international tournaments.
