The Romanian Handball Federation (FRH) reaffirms its commitment to the protection of athletes by establishing the Safeguarding Commission, which will have the role of preventing abuse, harassment, and negligence in sports. The Commission will implement safe reporting mechanisms, continuously train technical and administrative staff, and manage sensitive situations according to international standards, including those of the IOC, EHF, IHF, and COSR. FRH emphasizes the importance of a safe and responsible sports environment, promoting a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse.
Additionally, FRH has notified the authorities regarding anonymous messages that have affected the institution's activity, including accusations against former coach Gheorghe Tadici. These messages have caused institutional damage and blocked communication channels. FRH has submitted official complaints to the Police and other competent authorities, citing possible violations of legislation. While respecting the right to free expression, FRH draws attention to the necessity of exercising this right within the limits of the law, without harming the institutional activity.
