FCSB has decided to rely on the young goalkeeper Matei Popa in view of the play-off, considering that the team is approaching the end of the regular season. Although Popa is only 18 years old and was introduced into the team without prior experience, he has managed to play 5 matches, in which he conceded 5 goals. Although he had some issues with clearances, he demonstrated that he can handle pressure, having made a few good interventions. This decision comes in the context where the U-21 attacking players have not confirmed, and FCSB is preparing its strategy for the next phase of the championship.
