FC Valencia has banned the consumption of sunflower seeds at the stadium, citing health and hygiene concerns.

FC Valencia have announced that they will no longer allow the consumption of sunflower seeds at the Mestalla stadium in order to protect spectators' health. The measure comes after problems caused by the discarded husks being thrown on the ground, clogging pipes and inconveniencing local residents during post-match sanitation work. The ban is in line with an earlier measure which banned the sale of seeds inside the stadium.
