In the overall ranking, Gyenes placed 23rd, with a delay of 28 minutes and 15 seconds behind the stage leader, the Australian Daniel Sanders, who took the overall lead.
Sanders secured his 10th stage victory in Dakar, thus equaling the performances of legends Giovanni Sala and Franco Picco. Gyenes is in 20th place in the overall ranking, 53 minutes and 24 seconds behind the leader. The stage featured a challenging route of 504 km, with approximately 400 km of special test in the Saudi Arabian desert, testing the skills of the pilots on varied terrain. In the car category, Nasser Al-Attiyah leads the overall ranking with Dacia, having a lead of just seven seconds over Seth Quintero, the stage winner.
