Aleix Garcia opened the scoring for Leverkusen in the 5th minute, and Bayern had a goal disallowed in the 27th minute. The visitors were left with ten players after Nicolas Jackson's dismissal in the 42nd minute. Bayern scored again, but this was also disallowed in the 63rd minute, until Luis Diaz equalized in the 69th minute. However, Diaz was sent off for simulation, leaving Bayern with nine players. In the end, a goal by the hosts was disallowed by VAR, and the match ended 1-1.
