Sabalenka made an impressive comeback in the quarterfinal match of the Miami Open, defeating Japanese player Naomi Osaka 6-7 (1-7), 6-3, 6-2, after being down a set and a break. This is Sabalenka's 15th consecutive victory of the year, and she has not lost a match in Madrid since 2023.

Although Osaka played strong tennis, Sabalenka managed to maintain her focus and win the match in two hours and 20 minutes. In the semifinals, Sabalenka will face American Hailey Baptiste, who defeated Belinda Bencic in her quarterfinal match. Sabalenka defeated Baptiste in the quarterfinals of the Miami Open on her way to winning the title last month.
