Aryna Sabalenka, the world number one, defeated the young American player Iva Jovic 6-3, 6-0, thus advancing to the semifinals at the Australian Open. Sabalenka, who aims to win her third title in Melbourne in four years, has shown impressive form, not losing a single set in the tournament. Despite the score, Sabalenka mentioned that the match was difficult and appreciated the level of play of her opponent. In men's singles, Carlos Alcaraz is preparing to face the Australian Alex de Minaur. Alcaraz, with six Grand Slam titles to his name, is looking to reach the semifinals in Melbourne for the first time. De Minaur, who has never gone past the quarterfinals at a Grand Slam, hopes to take advantage of the fans' support to pull off a surprise.
