World number 2 Carlos Alcaraz defeated the Italian Mattia Bellucci in three sets, with a score of 6-1, 6-0, 6-3, and qualified for the third round of the US Open.
In the next round, he will face another Italian, Luciano Darderi, ranked 34th in the ATP and seeded 32nd.
