The government has approved the application of the coordinated control regime at the Sculeni border, between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, which allows customs and border checks to be carried out by the authorities of both states at a single point, reducing waiting time. The system will increase security at the border and facilitate trade exchanges. Sculeni thus becomes the fourth point where this concept is implemented, alongside Leușeni–Albița, Giurgiulești–Galați, and Cantemir–Fălciu.
