For the fifth consecutive edition, students from the Republic of Moldova won the gold medal at the largest global robotics Olympiad for high school students, the FIRST Global Challenge, held between October 28 and November 1 in Panama City. The competition brought together teams from over 190 countries and was aimed at students aged between 15 and 18 years. The gold medal was obtained in the Innovation in Engineering category, the award recognizing creativity and innovation in robot design. The Moldova team demonstrated professionalism and cooperation, having a unique and relevant characteristic for this year's challenge, which was 'Eco Equilibrium', focused on maximizing biodiversity. Additionally, the team received an Honorable Mention in the FIRST Global Innovator Award category, highlighting innovation and the application of new technologies. The Republic of Moldova was represented by 6 students and 3 mentors.
