Sphera Franchise Group expands the Taco Bell brand in the Republic of Moldova, the first restaurant opens in Chișinău in 2026

Sphera Franchise Group announces the opening of a Taco Bell restaurant in the Republic of Moldova, located in the Shopping MallDova shopping center in Chișinău, with an inauguration planned for the second quarter of 2026. This expansion is part of the group's regional development strategy, which is already active in Romania, Italy, and Moldova. Thus, the Republic of Moldova becomes the second market in Eastern Europe where Sphera operates the Taco Bell brand, after Romania, where the franchise was obtained in 2017. CEO Călin Ionescu emphasizes that the expansion is a natural step, already having experience in the local market through the KFC brand.

Through this investment, Sphera will contribute to the local economy in Chișinău, collaborating with local suppliers and creating new jobs. Taco Bell will bring a menu inspired by Mexican cuisine and a vibrant dining experience, aimed especially at young people. Administrator Costică Mișaca mentions that the restaurant will be a meeting place for young people, encouraging the exploration of flavors and the customization of meals. Currently, the Taco Bell network in Romania includes 18 restaurants in 10 cities.
