Moldovan investigators have conducted new searches to combat electoral corruption, targeting an organized criminal group.

The National Investigation Inspectorate, together with prosecutors and the Lightning squad, conducted searches this morning at several addresses as part of an investigation targeting the bribery of voters and the illegal financing of parties. The police in Ungheni carried out similar actions.
