Additionally, Gherasimov highlighted Brussels' appreciation for the results of the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova, which reflect the clear choice of citizens for the European path. The European Council will discuss EU enlargement in December, and Moldova, which submitted its application for membership in March 2022, was granted candidate status in June 2022. The authorities in Chișinău aim to sign the Accession Treaty in 2028 and actual membership in 2030, emphasizing the need for deep reforms in key areas.
