The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, condemned Russia's attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, considering them war crimes that affect the entire region. The bombings have led to the disruption of Moldova's vital energy connection with Europe, putting the country's energy stability at risk.
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu confirmed that the attacks have disconnected the Isaccea-Vulcănești power line, but the authorities have activated alternative routes to avoid a blackout. However, the situation remains fragile, and consumers are urged to use electricity responsibly, especially during peak hours, to reduce pressure on the networks. Responsibility for the attacks is attributed solely to Russia, Moldovan officials emphasize.
