Estonia will open an embassy in Chișinău in the second half of this year, an announcement made by the presidents of the legislatures of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, alongside the Moldovan speaker, Igor Grosu. This will complete the diplomatic presence of the three Baltic States in the Republic of Moldova, symbolizing close relations. Igor Grosu emphasized the importance of collaboration with Estonia in the digitalization of public services, with Latvia in the training of public officials, and with Lithuania in the field of renewable energy.
Grosu thanked the Baltic States for their constant support in the European integration process, and Lauri Hussar, the president of the Riigikogu of Estonia, encouraged the continuation of reforms to bring Moldova closer to EU membership. The official visit of the Baltic leaders is a sign of solidarity and confidence in Moldova's European path.
