The officers of the National Anti-Corruption Center (CNA) and prosecutors from Chișinău are conducting over 30 searches for corruption in the process of obtaining driving licenses in the Călărași district.

These actions come as a result of previous investigations from October 15, when 50 searches were conducted and three people were detained. Currently, fourteen candidates and nine examiners from Ungheni are being investigated for active corruption, passive corruption, and influence peddling, with one person already detained. The investigation revealed that candidates were paying amounts between 500 and 700 euros to obtain assistance in supporting their exams. Alongside the detained person on December 9, another 22 individuals are being investigated at liberty, and the procedural actions continue.
