The authorities of the Republic of Moldova have been notified of a new bomb threat at “Eugen Doga” International Airport in Chișinău. The incident was reported a short while ago, and border police officers intervened to evacuate passengers and airport staff.
Specialized subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are heading to the scene to conduct checks and implement the specific procedures. Until the situation is clarified, the passenger check-in procedure has been suspended.
The General Inspectorate of Border Police warns that changes may occur to the flights scheduled for today. Travelers are advised to check the status of the flights on the airport’s online board before traveling to the airport or continuing their travel procedures.
For the time being, the authorities have not provided any additional information about the nature of the threat or any measures taken after the airport inspection. The report is currently being handled.
