The leadership of USR meets today after the scandal generated by the ambiguities in the CV of the Minister of Defense, Ionuț Moșteanu. Sources from the party have stated that some members of the National Bureau intend to request the withdrawal of political support for Moșteanu.

Although there are supporters of the minister in the party leadership, the request could be put to a vote. Moșteanu admitted that he included an error in his CV, mentioning that he graduated from the Athenaeum University, although he was not a student there. He also explained that his studies at the Polytechnic University were not completed for professional reasons. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan defended Moșteanu, emphasizing that he does not focus on CVs. This is not the first time that USR withdraws support from some leaders, considering the precedent with Elena Lasconi.
