USR has asked the Defense Committee to approve a draft law aimed at eliminating the allowances paid to members of the Territorial Public Order Authorities (ATOP), which liberal Ilie Bolojan said have no significant impact. The project, initiated in 2021, aims to reduce public spending, given that in 2020 more than 10 million lei were spent on these allowances. USR believes that the ATOP is a form of political sinecure, with no real contribution to citizens' safety.
