The parliamentary group 'United for Romania' (UPR), which includes former Prime Minister Victor Ponta, has announced the strengthening of its ranks by the affiliation of two deputies: Raisa Enachi, deputy from Vaslui, and Mariana Vârgă, deputy from Bucharest. Enachi, who is in her second term, was previously elected on the AUR lists, while Vârgă comes from SOS Romania. Parliamentary sources indicate that the unaffiliated deputy Mădălin Făget, initially elected on the SOS Romania lists, is in negotiations to join UPR.

The UPR group, formed by renaming the former POT group, now has 16 members. Victor Ponta, who obtained his deputy mandate on the PSD lists, decided to join UPR, arguing that the PSD leaders did not need him, even on the bench of reserves. Ponta was expelled from PSD in March 2025, after he submitted his independent candidacy for the presidential elections, but remained affiliated with the PSD parliamentary group until recently.
