Eugen Tomac, honorary advisor to President Nicușor Dan, states that the head of state is in permanent contact with party leaders to overcome the political crisis and is ready to appoint a new candidate for the position of prime minister as soon as they can demonstrate that they have a solid parliamentary majority.

Tomac specified that Nicușor Dan had previously made two proposals for the position of prime minister, but neither received the confidence vote from Parliament. Currently, the parties have put forward, in turn, two options for the position of prime minister, but neither has the support of a solid majority.

The presidential advisor called for flexibility in negotiations between parties and stated that political formations must give up some of the imposed conditions in order to reach a compromise and form a government supported by a parliamentary majority.

Tomac also emphasized the importance of quickly forming a government that ensures Romania's economic stability and the fulfillment of commitments made by our country to international partners.
