The Permanent Bureau of the Senate decided to reject the request of three AUR senators who were asking for the coverage of expenses for a trip to Washington, scheduled between March 4 and 5, amounting to approximately 45,000 lei.

The President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, explained that the event has a rather private character. AUR representatives, including deputy Ștefăniță Avrămescu, argue that it is an interparliamentary event that will involve representatives of legislatures from various countries. Avrămescu criticized the perceived hypocrisy, stating that if the event had been organized by another party, there would have been no issues.
