The leaders of PSD, PNL, USR, and UDMR received a new version of the salary law on Thursday, announced Radu Burnete, presidential advisor, after discussions at the Cotroceni Palace.

This version respects, in principle, the obligations assumed by Romania through the PNRR and the fiscal constraints, according to the presidential advisor. Radu Burnete emphasized the importance of political consensus, mentioning that if no agreement is reached, "no party will submit another separate project."

The project, "which affects over a million people" and is worth almost "170 billion lei annually," was developed following calculations made by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Finance, Radu Burnete also announced.

The parties will analyze the document in the coming days, with technical discussions scheduled for the weekend. At the beginning of next week, the leaders will meet again with President Nicușor Dan to check the possibility of a consensus. Burnete mentioned that the project is currently a version under discussion and is not assumed by anyone.
