The new salary law has been sent to Brussels and is currently being negotiated with representatives of the European Commission.

The interim Minister of Labor, Dragoș Pîslaru, had discussions with European officials on Wednesday morning to reach an agreement on the final amendments. At 6:00 PM, Pîslaru will present the conclusions of the discussions of the parties from the former coalition in a technical meeting at Cotroceni. Political sources indicate that the draft was sent before being presented to the parties, which has generated controversy. There is discussion about a budgetary impact that could exceed the initial promises, with an estimated envelope between 12 and 16 billion lei.

Also, on Thursday, President Nicușor Dan will hold discussions with the leaders of PNL, PSD, USR, and UDMR to reach a consensus and adopt the law by the end of the month.
