The President of the Association of Municipalities of Romania, Lia Olguța Vasilescu, announced on Monday that mayors discussed the closure of the PNRR in August, as well as the Anghel Saligny programs and the National Investment Company (CNI).
The mayors are requesting the rapid reimbursement of invoices and legislative changes to facilitate the signing of new investment contracts.
Unanimously, the mayors called for a reduction in the list of disabilities to ensure parking spaces for people with disabilities.
They also raised issues related to OUG 69/2025, which could lead to the dissolution of companies with fewer than 5 employees.
The AMR insists that local police employees have prerogatives in enforcing traffic rules.
The proposals will be sent to the Government and the Parliament of Romania. The General Assembly took place in Bucharest, with the participation of several government officials.
