The Employees' Union of the Government's Working Apparatus criticized the Executive led by Ilie Bolojan for approving, through memorandum, a salary increase at Romgaz, in the context in which the Government promotes austerity and the freezing of salaries in the public sector.

The union emphasizes that, although the Government justifies the salary increase at Romgaz by the strategic role of the company, the same logic is not applied to employees in central administration, who manage essential projects for Romania. Union leader Noni-Emil Iordache stated that without public servants, the Government would not be able to access European funds and would not succeed in strategic projects. The union demands the application of the same logic of justification for employees in central administration, emphasizing that they are treated as a budgetary burden, despite their essential contribution to the functioning of the state.

Furthermore, the union warns that the Government cannot categorize employees as "strategic" and "indispensable," highlighting the importance of all employees in maintaining the stability and functionality of the state.
