Former prime minister Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu says he was hunted by Kovesi and Coldea, accusing them of orchestrating a campaign to eliminate him from political life. After 11 years of investigations, Tăriceanu was acquitted but describes the period as a nightmare. He stressed that he does not want to return to politics, believing that the current generation of politicians is more interested in material gain than ideals.
