In an intervention at Digi24, Deputy Prime Minister Tánczos Barna addressed Russian influence and the positioning towards the European Union, accusing the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) of supporting anti-European movements. Barna emphasized that there are serious doubts regarding AUR's connections with Russian influence in Romanian politics, highlighting a clear difference between PSD and AUR in terms of pro-European orientation. The relationship of the Fidesz party with Russia was also discussed, with Tánczos Barna rejecting the comparison with AUR and stating that Fidesz has not promoted Russian influence in Hungary. The Deputy Prime Minister explained that Fidesz has acted to protect the Hungarian energy industry and consumers from high energy prices. Regarding the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania, Barna stated that it continues to support Viktor Orbán, due to shared values and the government's support for the Hungarian community.
