George Simion, the leader of AUR, condemned the incident on the night of May 28 to 29, when a drone used by the Russian Federation in attacks on Ukraine crashed into an apartment building in Galați, causing a fire. Simion criticized the current government for incompetence and called for it to resign, allowing a legitimate government to take over.
He emphasized that the current leaders have demonstrated their inability to manage the situation, suggesting that they would blame AUR for the incident. Following the drone crash, which occurred in the southern area of Galați, road traffic was restricted, and the police recommended alternative routes to avoid the affected area. Investigations at the scene are ongoing.
"It was not easy. At the last moment, stop setting fire to the country and let a LEGITIMATE government take over! You have demonstrated your incapacity. You would even be in a position to blame us for the drone from tonight. Or on this basis to install prime ministers who have not even a few percent in the public vote. A few months ago you said that because of AUR you cannot bring down the drones...
We condemn the attack from this night, the incompetence and imposture of the current leaders: step aside and let the Romanians decide."" wrote George Simion on Facebook.
