Eugen Tomac, MEP and honorary advisor to President Nicușor Dan, reacted on Friday after the incident of a Russian drone that fell on a building in Galați, emphasizing that Russia constantly violates international law and conducts an unacceptable act of aggression. He stated on Facebook that Romania, as a NATO and EU member, will not tolerate such provocations.

Tomac insisted that Russia must be sanctioned and mentioned that the statements of solidarity from allies provide the guarantee that Moscow's actions will have consequences. At the same time, interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will propose diplomatic measures in the CSAT to sanction Russian diplomats in Bucharest and requested NATO allies to transfer military technologies to strengthen air defense capabilities.
