The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, sent an optimistic message ahead of the Congress scheduled for Friday, highlighting the beginning of a "new chapter" for the party and for Romania. Grindeanu, the only candidate for the position of president of the organization, stated that this chapter will be centered on responsibility, unity, and solutions for Romanians and the national economy.

He emphasized the importance of the Congress as a moment of recognition of the PSD's journey and the expectations of the members towards the new leadership. Grindeanu stressed that the PSD must offer seriousness, stability, and vision, thus responding to the expectations of Romanians. The Congress will take place at Romexpo, and Grindeanu is preparing to officially take over the leadership of the party.
