Siegfried Mureșan: "Count what the PSD does, not what the PSD says."

PNL MEP Siegfried Mureșan published a critical message on social media, accusing the PSD leadership of constantly trying to block the reforms in the PNRR and that the political statements of the social democrats have no relevance in light of their actions in Parliament.

The MEP argued that the PSD's strategy since taking over the government and up to the present has led to the loss of hundreds of millions of euros from European funds:

“From the first day it came to power in 2021, the PSD has tried to block all reforms in the PNRR. The evidence is the many hundreds of millions of euros lost from the PNRR during the period when Marcel Ciolacu was Prime Minister.”

At the same time, Mureșan pointed out that attempts to renegotiate have failed, and the party's hesitations have caused major delays:

“Instead of moving to implement the plan, they delayed it, not implementing the reforms and hoping that the European Commission would spare them. This way, they lost a lot of time and a lot of money. All because of their aversion to reforms.”

In the end, the PNL MEP emphasized that the only criterion that matters during this period is the vote in Parliament:

“What matters is what the PSD does, not what the PSD says.”
