The Secretary General of the Government, Dan Reșitnec, asked the Autonomous Administration „Administration of the State Protocol Patrimony” (RA-APPS) to begin the procedures for the premises occupied by the PUSL party, which has since become PUCL, to be transferred to the administration of the National Agency for Roma. The building, located near the Arch of Triumph in Bucharest, is expected to house the National Museum of Roma History and Culture.
The move would leave the party founded by Dan Voiculescu without its current headquarters. The initiative is presented in the context of criticism that state buildings have been assigned to individuals or organizations with political influence, while a party headquarters would be accessible only to a limited group.
Dan Reșitnec argued that a person's value should not be measured by their political influence. For now, RA-APPS is to carry out the administrative procedures, while the final decision regarding the building's purpose will rest with the future government.
