American Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed with Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Ţoiu to thank Romania for being a true partner, providing swift and decisive support for American operations promoting security in the Middle East.

In a post on X, Oana Ţoiu emphasized the importance of cooperation for deterrence and defense between Romania and the United States, in the current security context. During the phone conversation with Marco Rubio, the two officials also discussed security developments, economic priorities, and ways to deepen bilateral collaboration. Ţoiu mentioned that the discussion included topics such as defense, energy, technology, critical minerals, and human connections.
