The Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, presented to Parliament the current situation regarding payment request no. 3 from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

Romania met the legal conditions ahead of the November 28 deadline, but the European Commission was initially reluctant to consider the country's arguments. After a meeting with Ursula von der Leyen, the Commission agreed to analyze Romania's proposals "in a constructive spirit." Pîslaru mentioned that a response from the EC is expected by the end of March.

He also emphasized the importance of adopting the law regarding the cutting of special pensions for magistrates, declared constitutional by the CCR, as a crucial moment in the reform process. The Minister is committed to making every effort to obtain the 231 million euros, non-reimbursable European funds, despite the delays recorded.
