Alexandru Rogobete, former Minister of Health, stated that managers who threaten doctors, residents, and assistants with job loss for participating in the strike should not run hospitals.
In a message posted on Facebook, he urged health employees not to be intimidated by "hypocrites and impostors." Rogobete emphasized that Romania needs leaders who inspire trust, not those who lead through threats. He stated that the performance of managers should be evaluated based on results, not intimidation.
In the context of the general strike announced by health employees, union leaders of the Sanitas Federation reported pressures on employees, citing the wage inequalities perpetuated by the salary law. Rogobete encouraged medical staff to defend their rights and not to fear reprisals.
