The Rector of the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration, Remus Pricopie, proposed, in a comment on Facebook, the solution of a 'government of truce' to overcome the political crisis in Romania. He suggests that such a government should be 'partially technocratized' and operate under the political control of Parliament, without getting involved in political games. Pricopie emphasizes that political parties are more aware of what they do not accept than of what they are willing to accept. His proposal includes the appointment of an independent prime minister, who should be accepted by democratic and pro-European forces, and the formation of a government with a limited mandate until February 15, 2027. He suggests maintaining continuity in essential ministries, such as Education and Finance, and having other ministries occupied by independent professionals. Additionally, the prime minister should commit not to engage in political games and to resign on the established date, to avoid suspicions of personal political ambitions.
