Lia Olguța Vasilescu, the mayor of Craiova, announced that the PSD opposes austerity policies that severely affect the Romanian economy. At the regional PSD Dolj Conference, she emphasized that the party promotes an economy based on cohesion and sustainable development, offering a concrete program for economic recovery, which includes the creation of over 120,000 jobs. Vasilescu highlighted the achievements of PSD governments, such as records in public investment and significant increases in pensions and salaries. She also mentioned the importance of infrastructure for the country's development, emphasizing that the PSD has built the most kilometers of highways. During the conference, the Dolj county organization of the PSD adopted a resolution of support for Sorin Grindeanu as the party's president, recognizing his achievements in the field of infrastructure.
