PSD representatives have declared that they will not attend the PNL Congress, considering it an event with internal political stakes for PNL members. The Social Democrats also reaffirm that, although they are part of the same governing coalition, PSD retains its identity as a left-wing party and its distinct political vision from right-wing parties. The PNL congress was held at the Parliament Palace, bringing together 1,200 delegates to elect the new leadership.
