The PSD National Political Council will meet on June 17 to discuss the mandate that the Social Democrat delegation will have at the consultations with President Nicușor Dan. Interim President Sorin Grindeanu will brief colleagues on the state of negotiations to form the government. A rotating government has been agreed, with Ilie Bolojan from the PNL as the first, followed by the PSD president. The timetable foresees consultations on 18 June, the appointment of the prime minister, the finalization of the government program and the hearing of ministers, with the swearing-in at the Cotroceni Palace on 23 June.
