The judges of the Constitutional Court proposed by PSD, Cristian Deliorga, Gheorghe Stan, Bogdan Licu, and Mihai Busuioc, announced that they left a CCR meeting in protest against the way the deadlines for discussing the objection of unconstitutionality regarding the magistrates' pension law were set. They claim that they were called to a meeting on a non-working day and that their requests for postponement were ignored. The judges emphasize that the hearing date was set less than three working days from the registration of the referral, which affects the quality of deliberation and risks compromising the correctness of the Court's decisions. They also underline that their absence did not block the Court's activity, but was a reaction to the violation of operational rules. The next meeting is scheduled for January 16, which means that the law will not be able to come into force on January 1, as planned.
