In a recent meeting of the National Political Council, PSD modified its statute, removing the term 'progressive' and emphasizing its commitment to democratic, national, and traditional values. Interim leader Sorin Grindeanu stated that this change reflects the current identity of the party, focused on social equity and solidarity, without engaging in ideological experiments. The new wording of the statute highlights PSD's pro-European orientation, which will hold a Congress on November 7 to elect a new president.
