Marcel Ciolacu will resign as president of the PSD and the party will decide whether to enter government or remain in opposition. Internal critics, such as Buzăului mayor Constantin Toma, are calling for wholesale resignations and urgent reforms to avoid the party's self-destruction. Names like Sorin Grindeanu and Victor Negrescu are being floated for the party's leadership. Against this backdrop, leaders from other parties underline the importance of PSD's participation in government to ensure political stability.
